Ahhh.....the Weekend is Here

It's the weekend and all is well in the world of sports.....Or is it? There is a lot of key match ups in both the college football and NFL games Saturday and Sunday.

Tennessee (6-3) will be hosting Arkansas (6-3) in a game that will do a lot in determining the winner of the SEC East. The Vols are the only team that controls their own destiny. If Tennessee beats Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky.......they win the east.

Georgia (7-2) hosts border war opponent Auburn (7-3) in the 111th meeting between the two schools. The dawgs need to beat the Tigers and Kentucky....and hope Tennessee loses one of their final three games. Auburn leads the series 54-49-8. Georgia has defeated Auburn at home just twice (2003, 1991) since 1981 and is 8-17 all-time at Sanford Stadium.

Notre Dame (1-8) is taking on another one of those military schools....This week Air Force (7-3) will attempt to duplicate what the Naval Academy did to the Irish last week. Notre Dame is a 3 point underdog at home! Charlie Weis did not allow his players to talk to reporters this week....with the exception of the team captains....for fear of some really tough questions from the media.

Is Kansas the real deal? We will get a glimpse Saturday night as the 5th ranked Jayhawks (9-0) visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater. The cowboys and their schizophrenic team has been up and down all season. Which Cowboy team will show up?
