The ......"Aftermath"

Now that LeBron James ......and the Miami Heat....are etched in the minds of sports fans all over this great nation.....as a colossal failure.......

The aftermath....

Who's the blame?   The Heat self anointed itself.....as the greatest basketball team of our time.  Before ever playing a game together.

A team......LeBron said would not win .....1....not 2....not 3...not 4...not 5....not 6......

But 7.......count 'em......7.....NBA championships.

Well.....our math skills tell us....you can't win ....7......without first winning .....1!

The aftermath?

Here's the Miami Herald......and their take....their view.....for their city and team:

MIAMI HEAT WRAP-UP

Hurting before they heal

In the aftermath of crushed expectations, the Heat tried to look ahead. ‘There will be a healing process,’ coach Erik Spoelstra said.

A "Lukewarm"...Heat

Let's see....LeBron,  D-wade,  and Chris Bosh.   Supposedly three superstars to lead the Miami Heat to the NBA championship this year.

Ain't gonna happen.

Besides the "triple treat trio".....the Heat is just an average team.   Now they have picked up Mike Bibby......formerly of the Atlanta Hawks.......to slow them down even more.   Bibby is old and slow.....cannot play defense....and he's losing his three-point shot.

This team may win in the future.......but now?

Just "lukewarm".

From the Miami Herald:

Miami Heat's struggles continue in blowout loss to Spurs

The Spurs blitzed the Heat from start to finish, setting a franchise record for three-pointers in a game and finishing with eight players in double figures as Miami suffered its worst loss of the season Friday night in San Antonio. - 11:27 AM ET

Turning up the Heat

The Atlanta Hawks.......are not alone in being disappointing early in  this NBA season.

The Miami Heat  with their 3 superstars,  (LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh)....are sitting at 8-6 after 14 games.....and the natives are getting restless.

This is the same Miami team......many thought would challenge the 72 win season of the 1995-96 Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls.  The Bulls went 72-10 on their way to the championship.

So.....the Heat can only lose 3 more games.......the rest of the season?

We're going out on a limb......and say......"They will".

From the Miami Herald:

PACERS 93, HEAT 77

Can't keep up the pace

The Heat committed a season-high 22 turnovers in its worst game this season, and Dwyane Wade had three points on 1-for-13 shooting. - 12:42 PM ET
