Beyond...Extravagant!
Extravagant ....to the nth degree!
Arthur Blank must have one hell of an ego. This new Atlanta Falcon stadium will have everything ...and then some.
1.2 Billion dollars? A retractable roof? A gigantic side window with the Atlanta skyline in full view?
Simply amazing!
Take a look:

The Saints...go Marching...Out of the Play-offs!
For us? This was great! Our beloved Birds...beat the hated Saints....In New Orleans!
As bad as this season has been...this was one of those, "It don't get no better...than this!"
These Falcons fell behind...7-0...scored the next 20....then held on to win. A defense that hasn't stopped an offense all year.....stopped the Saints.
On the road.
In the SuperDome!
From the New Orleans Times-Picayune... We just love to see them lose!

On Any Given...Sunday!
All we can say is...."Wow"! Carolina goes into the SuperDome...and cold cocks the New Orleans Saints.
Who would have ..."thunk-it"?
The best news for our Atlanta Falcons? Even if the Birds lose in Green Bay tomorrow night...they will still be in first place.
Go figure.
On any given Sunday...in the NFL!

For the Birds!
Leave it to our Atlanta Falcons...to lose a game. But to lose ...the way they did?
Up 24-23 with 44 seconds left? Calling needless timeouts? Not able to stop Cleveland...once...on that final drive?
We're done!

A Tuskegee Salute!
Kudos...to the Atlanta Falcons organization.
With all the bad going on in the NFL these days, this is very refreshing.
Atlanta...we applaud you!
Falcons to honor member of Tuskegee Airmen on Sunday
Getty ImagesThe Falcons will honor a living member of the Tuskegee Airmen during Sunday’s game vs. Cleveland.
According to the club’s website, the Falcons will recognize 98-year-old Edward Johnson, a sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
Johnson served with the 332nd Fighter Group and 477th Bombardment Group, serving as an instrument-flying instructor, the Falcons said.
The Tuskegee Airmen were African-American members of the Air Corps and the U.S. Army Air Forces whose ranks included pilots who flew bombing missions in World War II.
According to the Falcons, Johnson is a long-time fan of the club who has never attended a game. He will be accompanied by one of his daughters.
The ceremony will occur sometime during the first half, the Falcons said.

2 Bad Teams...1 Awful Game
Awful .... Awful...Awful.
That's what the NFC South is...that's what the Carolina Panthers..are..That's what the Atlanta Falcons are.
The Falcons tried to lose...The Panthers did lose.
At the end of the day...The Falcons are in 1st place! Go figure. They can't run the ball...can't stop the run...Gave up a 16-3 lead...
But...this is our NFL...On Any Given Sunday?

NFL Training Camp Pay
So....How much money does an NFL player make in training camp?
Here it is:
The NFL Players Association distributed a training camp memo to the league's players. In the memo, it detailed what the compensation would be for the players in what's one of the toughest months to get through individually as an NFL player.

Introducing...Steven Jackson
Our Atlanta Falcons wasted little time ...replacing running back Michael Turner.
The "Dirty Birds" just signed Pro Bowler Steven Jackson.
Jackson, formerly of the Saint Louis Rams...is ...simply ..a beast!

Atlanta.....This Could Have Been Us
It should have been us....Excuse us if we're are still somewhat bitter. But...
The ATL should have represented the NFC in the Super Bowl just played. We came up 10 yards short.
There is no doubt in my mind...our Atlanta Falcons...would have prevailed over the Baltimore Ravens.
They matched up better than the 49ners. More weapons...more speed.
But......as we say here often...it is ...what it is.
We congratulate you, Baltimore.
Enjoy your moment:

Getting no Love....in the ATL
There is a championship game to be played on Sunday...between the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco Giants.
The talking heads of the world wide leader (ESPN) cannot control themselves gawking uncontrollably over the 49ners. According to most everyone....the Falcons don't stand a chance. San Fran has better players....a better coach...a better QB....a better defense.
This is the same 49ner team that went into New York and got destroyed by the Giants. Oh...by the way...the Falcons beat these same Giants, 34-0. This is the same 49ner team the Seattle Sea Hawks humiliated a few weeks ago. (See last week) The Falcons shut out Seattle 20-0 in the first half on the way to....yes a win.
Atlanta is went 13-3 this season...best in the NFL. Home field advantage is theirs.
Let San Fran get the headlines.....the magazine covers. Come Sunday, Falcons....hit 'em in the mouth.....repeatedly! Then....hit 'em again. Then step on their neck until they puke!
I have a feeling the "Dirty Birds" will play with so much intensity ......so much energy....
The Dome will be rocking!
Let them have their SI cover.....The ATL will have the last laugh.
Jinxes? Kaepernick, Harbaugh this week’s SI cover boys

Flying...High
Yes.....we were ...just a little bit hard on these birds. But who could blame us?
The Falcons just lost to Carolina last week... And the Giants? The defending Champs?
Well......the "dirty birds" rose to the occasion.
Not only did they win the game...they...dominated!

"Cam'ed" In Carolina
This could possibly be the worst 11-2 team in NFL history. The Atlanta Falcons were out coached, out played, out "Cam'ed"....in just about every sense yesterday.
Carolina scored on their first 4 possessions in route to a 16-0 halftime lead.
It only got worse in the second half. Cam Newton torch the birds with a 72 yard touchdown run. Quickly it was 23-0.
The Falcons would eventually wake up out of their funk to make the final score a little more respectable.
But make no mistake about it....They got whipped. And yes they're 11-2....but!

Yes New Orleans...We Do Hate You!
So....New Orleans...Welcome to the ATL! No...we don't like you...and YES...We hate you!
It is not even a good-natured hate. This is pure unadulterated hate. Hate with passion!
Through the years I have seen just about every Falcon-Saint game ever played. And it's always a fierce battle on the field and in the stands.
Saint fans are obnoxious and arrogant.
And many are very ignorant.
So a few eggs....thrown at a bus...is no big deal.
Welcome to Atlanta

Battle of the Birds
This one was real ugly! The Falcons versus the Cardinals. 6 Atlanta turnovers including 5 interceptions thrown by Matt Ryan.
But...the name of the game is to win.
And win....they did.

Perfect...No More
Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Our beloved Atlanta Falcons fell to those hated New Orleans Saints today.
A game of inches, the Birds had their chances. Just wasn't meant to be.
One loss.
Hey Atlanta...you're still the class on the NFC.
