Where Have You Gone....Tiger Woods?

It really pains us to write this... As recent as 2009,  Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods....was the best golfer on the planet.
Even in 2013...he was the number 1 money maker on the PGA Tour.  A phenom!  Tiger made us watch this boring game.

He won tournament after tournament.   He was built like an athlete...not a golfer.  He did things with a golf ball that had never been seen in our lifetime.  He brought millions of viewers.   Millions of admirers.   Hell....even us black folks got interested in golf!

For at least a 10 year period...he was the number 1 ranked golfer in the world...and it wasn't even close.

Then suddenly...he's gone.

His ranking today:
Current ranking:
258 - 95 points - 8 events - 0 wins - $225,198

$225,198?  It is almost August!  He used to make that amount on 1 weekend.

But ...the injuries...the extra marriage stuff...the divorce...have left this Tiger...toothless.

Where have you gone....Tiger?

The First Ever...Female NBA Head Coach?

Well....maybe.   We are sure betting on it.  Sure...we have long been a "non-fan" of women's

basketball.  College or the WNBA.

Face it or's the truth.  A good high school boys basketball team ...would run a WNBA team off the court. Beat 'em like a drum.

That gives us great pleasure to announce the first ever female head coach of an NBA team. has not happened yet...but it will.   And soon.  Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Hammon is an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs.   The players respect her.  Her Gregg Popovich  has given her his blessing.   So much so....he let her be the head coach in the summer league.   And all she did was lead the Spurs to a championship this week.

Becky...we have your back.   We know...sooner than'll get your chance to lead grown the "Association".

Meet Becky:

Why We Love ....NASCAR!

Did not watch the race.   But we were thrilled Dale Earnhardt, Jr won the race.  We applaud NASCAR for trying to distance itself from ..."the good old boys"...."the Confederate Flag"...etc.

We also applaud them for the safety features in these 3,000 pound super charged automobiles.

But this was just racing!   And only in Daytona...where they race 3 wide...can this kind of accident happen.

Lucky for fatalities...minor injuries to a few fans...and ...the driver walks away!

Wow!   Take a look:

The 4th....30 Years Ago

July 4th....Independence Day.  Hotdogs, Apple Pie...and Baseball?  30 years ago to the day...The Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets engaged in an event that went down in history as one of the longest and weirdest games on record.

The old Atlanta-Fulton County (cookie-cutter) Stadium was home to this game in which the first pitch was innocently thrown at 9:04pm after a 1 hour and 24 minute rain delay.

Then.....after more rain delays....these two teams combined to have 46 hits...22 walks...37 runners left on base....5 errors...2 ejections...and 29 runs.

Did we also tell you the game lasted 19 innings!

The game ended at 3:55am July 5th.   A Fireworks show was scheduled immediately following the game....and even though it was 4:00am in the wee hours of this southern summer town....

The show when on!  Thousands of local residents called the police ...thinking the city was under attack!

There were 44,947 fans that entered the stadium the night before....only a few thousand remained till the end.

But if you ask any Atlantans  about that yeah...they were there!
