Welcome to the Party...UGA Defense
It took almost 3 quarters of a season...This Georgia defense...with supposedly all that NFL talent....to finally play the way they will someday be paid to play.
No softies here. Georgia manned up against these Gators and forced their will. 6 turnovers. Hard, hard hits. No touchdowns allowed.
Well......welcome to the party, men.
It had been speculated by more than a few people....Maybe these future NFL stars of Georgia were "saving" themselves by playing safe....soft....so as not to get hurt before getting that Sunday playing contract.
But ....at least for one Saturday....they played the way their talent should have played.
17-9.
Wasn't pretty...but...a win...is a win.

Get out the Brooms...There's a Sweep a Coming
Sorry Detroit....but no team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit to win the World Series.
We said it after game 1...this series was over. You ...as in San Fran...annihilate the best pitcher on the planet in the opening game?
They....Detroit....shot their wad. No more bullets in the chamber.
The fat lady is warming up. Hear her song?
Over ....Detroit....So sorry!

Thoughts...on a Friday
This is a Friday...in this small, southern college town.
A few thoughts:
I think I like the fact....I'm still single. Get lonely sometimes...but no drama.
My grand daughter, McKay.......is so beautiful!
My parents have already voted.....early voting. What about you? Me? I will wait.
There are certain things......I hate about my job.
President Barack Obama.....has really ....huge...ears.
I think Georgia will lose ......and lose big to Florida.
My prayers go out to GaPeach913...and her significant other, Larry.
I think I might do a little....grilling this week-end.
Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is less than a month away!
So....Christmas is coming too?
I think......I am so....unprepared.
I really need a vacation...stop the world...get off.
I think ...I'm.....real tired.
Good night!

R.I.P. Emanuel Steward
We hate these kind of posts...for...it means somebody died. Someone won't wake up tomorrow and read anything. They are dead.
Emanuel Steward was a boxing trainer. Remember Thomas Hearns? Evander Holyfield? He was the trainer in their respective corners.
Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and close friends.
From TMZ.com:
Emanuel Steward
Legendary Boxing Trainer
Dead at 68
Emanuel Steward -- one of the most famous trainers in the history of boxing -- has died.
Steward was a god in the boxing world -- training superstars like Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns and Wladimir Klitschko. He was also a popular ringside commentator.
According to reports, Steward had recently been hospitalized for a stomach disorder.
Klitschko has released a statement saying, “Boxing has suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Emanuel Steward.”
Steward was 68.

Life in the Fast Lane
Leave it to Texas. Where everything is bigger.
Now, everything is faster too.
I would love to get the chance to navigate this thoroughfare. Can you imagine?
Texas is set to get a new bragging right: the fastest speed limit in the country.
The Texas Department of Transportation
has approved an 85 mph speed limit for an upcoming 40-mile stretch of
Texas 130 from Austin to Seguin. Currently, no road in the country has a
posted speed limit faster than 80 mph. An 85 mph designation would give
the new toll road the fastest speed limit in the Western Hemisphere,
according to some reports.

Yep....it's only been 1 game of a 7 game series...but...the 2012 World Series is over.
The San Francisco Giants just made little meatballs of the best pitcher on the planet. Detroit might not win a game.
When your ace....with his 97 mph fast ball...gets lit up like this?
Oh well.

A Man Should Never hit a Woman...But.....
Okay...we are torn on this one. We were brought up where under no circumstances should a man even strike a woman. But this girl?
She deserved everything she got. She continued to escalate the whole thing.
From the Steve Harvey Morning Show...You be the judge;
THIS GIRL HAD NO RIGHT TO BEHAVE THE WAY SHE DID TOWARD THIS DUDE, WHO IS A SERVANT OF THE COMMUNITY, A BUS DRIVER...ONCE YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON A MAN AND START ASSAULTING HIM, I'M NOT PROMOTING A MAN HITTING A LADY, A MAN SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND
ACCORDING TO THE EURWEB.COM
Over the weekend, folks all over the country were in an uproar over an incident on a local Cleveland bus that went haywire.
There was a 22- year career at stake, but once a female passenger became irate and began to hit and push the driver…well, of course, all hell broke loose!

Oh Bobby...Really?
Question: Why does Bobby Brown seem to always find himself on the wrong side of the law?
Answer: Because he is....Bobby Brown.
It is ...what it is:
From TMZ.com:
Bobby Brown
Arrested for DUI ... Again
Bobby Brown was just arrested for DUI ... for the second time this year, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us, Brown was pulled over around 1AM when police observed the singer driving erratically on an L.A. street.
According to law enforcement sources, officers approached Brown's vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcohol -- at which point they asked Brown to get out of his car.
We're told Brown performed a field sobriety test, but didn't do very well -- so he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He's currently being booked.
Brown was previously arrested for DUI in March and sought treatment for alcohol abuse issues over the summer. He also has a DUI conviction on his record from 1996.

6-0....is ...Well 6-0!
Man oh man....Are we hearing it from the national media.
Yes....but! Been a whole lot of "yes...buts" lately. The Atlanta Falcons have played six games. The Atlanta Falcons have won six games. The Atlanta Falcons are the only undefeated team in the NFL.
Yes...but...
Who have they beaten? Their running game is suspect. There defense has holes. They could be 3-3.
But....they are not. These birds are 6-0. You play the teams on your schedule. This is the NFL. Everybody gets paid at this level. There are no Vanderbilts or Savannah States coming to the Georgia Dome any time soon.
And even when the Falcons have not had their "A" game...they have found a way to win. Get off their backs.
6-0.......is f*#king......6-0. Period!

Same Old....Georgia
The natives are getting a little bit restless...in this small, southern college town.
Here we go again. Georgia....contender or pretender?
Georgia ...once again gets a high profile game with a high profile opponent. Last time this happened....UGA sleptwalked through a 35-7 dismantling at the hands of South Carolina.
This time it's Florida in the annual "cocktail party down in Jacksonville.
Georgia...supposedly has all those "NFL" athletes. Top 10 recruiting classes. Unlimited resources.
Yet......when given the opportunity to turn heads on a national stage...these dogs turn into pups.
Saturday.....we shall see.

We believed him. We just thought they were jealous of an American winning so many French events.
Who knew?
Now this.....
