A Two Team Tournament

It started out.......




with 64 teams.......beginning on a Thursday back in March. Today, after 72 games... 62 teams eliminated.... The 2008 NCAA Mens Basketball tournament has come down to the final 2. The game will be broadcast by CBS from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Game time is a rather latish 9:21 p.m. EDT. The Memphis Tigers bring their NCAA record setting 38 wins versus only 1 loss against the Kansas Jay hawks with an impressive 36-3 record of their own.

Memphis lost their only game of the season on February 23 against state rival and then 2nd ranked Tennessee. A see-saw game so the Vols win 66-62.

Kansas lost their three games.....all on the road. At Kansas State (75-84), at Texas (69-72), and at Oklahoma State (60-61)

Both teams have been impressive in the tournament. Both have speed and quickness.....height and size......Both schools are well coached.

But after tonight.....only one will be the winner.

64......to 32........to 16......to 8.....to 4......to 2..........

And then .......to only ......1!
