Awful .... Awful...Awful.
That's what the NFC South is...that's what the Carolina Panthers..are..That's what the Atlanta Falcons are.
The Falcons tried to lose...The Panthers did lose.
At the end of the day...The Falcons are in 1st place! Go figure. They can't run the ball...can't stop the run...Gave up a 16-3 lead...
But...this is our NFL...On Any Given Sunday?

Wakey...Wakey
Here is what the New York Post...thinks about Janay....standing by her man:
First Photo of Ray and Janay Rice After Baltimore Ravens Terminated His Contract

A quick thinking paparazzi apparently ordered flowers to be delivered to the Baltimore home of former NFL player Ray Rice on Tuesday. The photog snapped shots of the embattled couple as they answered the door to accept the flowers.
The exclusive photos were published in today’s NY Post.
Janay Rice, 26, came to the door looking disheveled and fretful, while Ray Rice, 27, looked agitated and appeared to be yelling at the delivery men.
In a social media post on Monday, Janay blamed the media and public opinion for her husband’s problems.
Ray Rice was terminated by the Baltimore Ravens after shocking video footage surfaced of him knocking out his wife in the elevator at a now shuttered Atlantic City casino. Video footage released earlier by gossip tabloid TMZ showed Rice dragging his unconscious wife out of the elevator.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell claims he never saw the new video footage before suspending Rice for just 2 games. But a NJ cop told ESPN he sent the new video footage to a NFL executive in April.
In related news, champion boxer and convicted wife beater Floyd Mayweather defended Ray Rice, saying the NFL should have honored Rice’s 2-game suspension.

Janay Rice, the Woman Who Is Defending Ray Rice
Ray Rice was cut from the Ravens on Monday after TMZ posted a video of him assaulting his then-fiancee in an elevator in an Atlantic City casino. Shortly after, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced he was suspended from the league indefinitely.
His wife, Janay defends her husband.
"To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his a** off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific [sic]. THIS IS OUR LIFE!" she wrote in an Instagram posted today.

Hump Day News & Views
In this small southern college town...the natives are all giddy about their beloved UGA Bulldogs. We had a great Holiday Week-end...with our family. Loved it all.
So on this Hump Day...let us see what we are following.
We didn't get an InVite;
Gabrielle Union And Dwyane Wade Tie The Knot!

Sam...I Am
Leave it to Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to make a splash in the Michael Sam media reality show.
Today the Cowboys signed Sam to a practice squad contract. Worth roughly $96,000. What Jerry is really hoping for is the sale of Sam's jersey...to the tune of a few thousand. And the media circus that will follow.
Jerry loves attention. His team is not very good. Sam...was a decent college player... but got beat out in St. Louis...by better players. He is not big enough to be a defensive lineman...not fast enough to be an elite linebacker...A...."tweener".
We here were rooting for him. But this is a business. Gay Pride...does not make the NFL.
Sam...we applaud you for trying.

A "Gurley Man" Comes
Todd Gurley....he is a coming. For all the off season hype...This may be the real deal.
Saturday...between those vaunted hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens...Sir Todd was indeed special.
But...lets put the brakes on.
Just one game. Don't get all giddy.
But...damn it was fun to watch!
Gurley dazzles as No. 12 Georgia rushes past No. 16 Clemson

NFL Training Camp Pay
So....How much money does an NFL player make in training camp?
Here it is:
The NFL Players Association distributed a training camp memo to the league's players. In the memo, it detailed what the compensation would be for the players in what's one of the toughest months to get through individually as an NFL player.
