Things ....We Learned......From the Week-end

It's a beautiful fall Monday afternoon....in this small, southern, college town.

After a wonderful week-end.......

Here's what ......we learned:

These "Dawgs".....are playing like the "Bulldog Nation".....thought they could:

Worst defeat since 2003 drains Vandy

Georgia dealt Vanderbilt a 43-0 thrashing on a homecoming Saturday, its worst defeat and first shutout in seven

Matt Ryan.....is not an elite quarterback .........And the Falcons have problems:

South Carolina......still has the "chicken curse":

FINALLY SUPERIOR

Kentucky cornerback Anthony Mosley (14) pulled in the game-clinching interception in front of South Carolina receiver Lamar Scruggs (8) and UK's Cartier Rice, who tipped the pass. It was UK's first victory over a Steve Spurrier-coached team. » Game story | Box | John Clay | Mark Story | Notes | SEC standings | Photos | Video | More coverage

Maybe......Florida....is just not that .......good.....Talented?  Maybe:

Gators sink further into losing streak

The loss is an unprecedented low point in the Urban Meyer era.

These MLB play-off games......are ...."riveting" :

Texas' 2 step: Win at home, get even with Yanks

The streak is over. The Rangers beat the Yanks for the first time in 11 playoff games to even the ALCS at 1. Colby Lewis held down N.Y.'s lineup, while Texas' offense gave an ineffective Phil Hughes fits from the get-go. Wrap »

Roy Story 2: Philly sequel is light years better

After a deflating loss in Phillies ace Roy Halladay's NLCS opener, Roy Oswalt penned a magnificent mound effort and ignited a seventh-inning rally, highlighted by Jimmy Rollins' three-run double, to tie the series at 1-1. Wrap »
Cliff Lee is 6-0 in his first seven playoff starts; Andy Pettitte is 19-9 over 41 postseason games.

Smarter?  We are.......

You should be.
