The Worlds...Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party
Georgia ...vs. Florida
The worlds largest "Outdoor Cocktail Party........starts...now!
From the Gainesville Sun:
Diehard tailgaters undeterred by Gator, Bulldog losses
"These people are diehards," said Patty Wooten, 60, who has been parking there for 15 years. "It doesn't matter if they're winning or losing."
Yet the presence of several empty spots in the usually packed lot suggested that something was different from previous years. Some fans conceded the Gators' three-game losing streak and Bulldogs' four losses on the season were a factor. Others put the blame squarely on the economy.
"I think it's a little of both," said Rick Sharp, 47, of Jacksonville.
But Sharp was undeterred. He's one of about 50 people in 11 motor homes who return annually to the same area in the lot, which they've dubbed Alligator Alley.
"The diehards - we're here every year," he said.

Her Diary.......His Diary
Men and women.....are just different. Period!
From GaPeach913:
Her Diary:
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird.
We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.
I was shopping with my friends all day long, So I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late,
but he made no comment on it.
Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but
he didn't say much.
I asked Him what was wrong; He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that He was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.
.
On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He Smiled slightly, and
kept driving. I can't explain his behavior I don't know Why he didn't
say, 'I love you, too.'
When we got home, I felt as if I had Lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent.
Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15
Minutes later, he came to bed.
To my surprise, he responded to my caress, And we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and
his thoughts were somewhere else.
He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm Almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.
My life is a disaster.
His Diary:
Boat wouldn't start today. Can't figure it out, but at least I got laid.

These MLB play-off games......are ...."riveting" :
Texas' 2 step: Win at home, get even with Yanks
The streak is over. The Rangers beat the Yanks for the first time in 11 playoff games to even the ALCS at 1. Colby Lewis held down N.Y.'s lineup, while Texas' offense gave an ineffective Phil Hughes fits from the get-go. Wrap »Roy Story 2: Philly sequel is light years better
After a deflating loss in Phillies ace Roy Halladay's NLCS opener, Roy Oswalt penned a magnificent mound effort and ignited a seventh-inning rally, highlighted by Jimmy Rollins' three-run double, to tie the series at 1-1. Wrap »Posted by keveekev at 5:52 PM 0 comments

New NBA Rule...."No Complaining"
The NBA had better seriously look at their new rule on players complaining about officials' calls.
Have you ever watched an NBA game.....in which no player complained?
Come the regular season......if the new rule is followed to the letter of the law....No teams would have enough players left......to finish the game.
Here's an example from the other night.
Courtesy of Business Insider:
NBA Players To Sue League, Say New Technical Rules "Harm Our Product"
But the union is also worried about the effect on player psyches, arguing that the rules are "stifling the players' passion and exuberance for their work" and generally making the game really boring watch.
Referees called four technicals in sixteen seconds during an exhibition game between New York and Boston, and Kevin Garnett was ejected for complaining a foul called on a teammate. It will only get worse when the games actually matter.
Our thoughts.....exactly. These guys play hard. They can't turn on and off....their emotions. They are not ....."robots".
We're thinking......the NBA will re-visit this rule......before the regular season.
