The University of Georgia did just that...put their fate....in another teams hand.
The past two weeks, the Bulldog Nation was...In the name of "Larry Munson"...rooting for Tennessee and Arkansas!
What?
Really?
This is where Georgia is now. Georgia has to root for rivals 'cuz UGA failed to take care of their own business. Namely South Carolina...and Florida.
2 winnable games resulting in ugly losses.
Yes Georgia...you beat Missouri ...34-0.
But check this out:

Where Have You Gone...Tiger Woods?
Injuries....Missed cuts...No "Major" wins.
Eldrick? Tiger?
Where did you go?
Been 5 years since your world was changed...forever.

For the Birds!
Leave it to our Atlanta Falcons...to lose a game. But to lose ...the way they did?
Up 24-23 with 44 seconds left? Calling needless timeouts? Not able to stop Cleveland...once...on that final drive?
We're done!

A Tuskegee Salute!
Kudos...to the Atlanta Falcons organization.
With all the bad going on in the NFL these days, this is very refreshing.
Atlanta...we applaud you!
Falcons to honor member of Tuskegee Airmen on Sunday
The Falcons will honor a living member of the Tuskegee Airmen during Sunday’s game vs. Cleveland.
According to the club’s website, the Falcons will recognize 98-year-old Edward Johnson, a sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
Johnson served with the 332nd Fighter Group and 477th Bombardment Group, serving as an instrument-flying instructor, the Falcons said.
The Tuskegee Airmen were African-American members of the Air Corps and the U.S. Army Air Forces whose ranks included pilots who flew bombing missions in World War II.
According to the Falcons, Johnson is a long-time fan of the club who has never attended a game. He will be accompanied by one of his daughters.
The ceremony will occur sometime during the first half, the Falcons said.

Thoughts...On A Friday
It is a Friday!
I am on vacation!
All is well with the world!
Five things.....I think I think:
1. I think...I am better off...in the "deep south"...than in Buffalo, NY.
2. My trip to North Caroling...this Tuesday...will be..."Very Interesting".
3. Don't think...I will be ...firing up the grill in Cary.
4. I think...we need to leave by 8am or 9am...to get to Cary before dark.
5. I really, really...really...really...needed this vacation!
Spare the Rod?
This Adrian Peterson thing has gone way too far. How can another man or woman ...tell another...how to discipline his own children?
To "whip"? Or not "whip"?
Me? I never had to spank...beat... or whip my daughter. A stern look...was sufficient. A talking to.
But not all children ...are the same. My late stepson...Sam...was very much indifferent to a talking to. The only thing he responded to...and understood was a swift blow to the chest. It got his attention.
I can remember growing up...I got a whipping or two...with an extension cord. Hell, back in the day...I remember all my Kindergarten teachers and 1st and 2nd grade teachers...having their "straps" and "paddles".
I think I turned out okay. My siblings turn out okay. No mass murderers...none of us in prison.
But back then there was no YouTube...no social media.
But today....Is today. A different world. Watch what you do...for the whole world is watching.
I feel for Mr. Peterson. He did to his son...what was done to him. He was brought up where "whipping"...via...switches...was common.
Don't make it right.
Still...Is it right to take away a man's career? Make it where he can't earn a living in his profession?
Cuz we disagree with his child rearing?
Spare the rod?

It's...Just the Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks...are just that.
Just...the Hawks.
Only the Hawks can lose to a Los Angeles Laker team...with only 1 win.
Only the Hawks can have a sold out arena...but 70%...rooting for the Lakers.
Only the Hawks...can make a 36 year old Kobe Bryant...look like a 26 year old ...Kobe.
Only the Hawks.

Why? "Gurley Man" Why?
An open letter to Todd Gurley:
Dear Todd,
We acknowledge you are an exceptional football player with extraordinary talents. Fact is though...you have never played an entire season. Last year you got hurt. This year you were suspended. 4 games. You then...for reasons we cannot understand ...decided to come back and play in the final 3 games.
Why?
An NFL running back has a career longevity of about 3.5 years. You were going to be a 1st round draft pick...You should have told Georgia...thanks...but no thanks. "I have made the University millions of dollars...let me earn my degree...and move on ...to the NFL."
But no! Instead...you came back to play in a college football game...tore your ACL on your knee...will need surgery....and possibly...cost you and the family.....millions.
Why?

2 Bad Teams...1 Awful Game
Awful .... Awful...Awful.
That's what the NFC South is...that's what the Carolina Panthers..are..That's what the Atlanta Falcons are.
The Falcons tried to lose...The Panthers did lose.
At the end of the day...The Falcons are in 1st place! Go figure. They can't run the ball...can't stop the run...Gave up a 16-3 lead...
But...this is our NFL...On Any Given Sunday?

Hump Day...News & Views
Been a while since we have posted on this ...a midweek day.
In this small, southern, college town...there is a definite hint of autumn in the air.
Shucks...it may get down into the 20's by the weekend.
Let's see...where are we?
Our Atlanta Falcons suck...
Our Beloved UGA Dawgs lost to the hated Gators of Florida.
Our Hawks are mediocre....3 wins...3 losses.
So...let's do some "humping".
The Carolina Panthers...can make any QB...look good:
Ooops...goes the Knicks:
I guess we all look alike:
Uhhh....Serena...I'm ...available!
So there....enjoy your Hump Day! Have a good one!
