The NFL made history today in their annual draft.  The Saint Louis Rams selected a gay guy as the 249th pick.

Michael Sam...the SEC defensive player of the year...finally got the call.  

32 NFL teams though Sam was not better than the other 248.

Which brings us to this.   Sam...maybe a decent player...but.

What locker room wants to see this?  And go into battle ...with that?

In this small southern college town...it is post-card perfect...weather wise.

No humidity....no rain.

Soft, pleasing winds.  No flies or mosquitoes.

Mothers Day approaching....

The NFL draft tomorrow...The NBA Play-offs are in full bloom.

The Braves finally won a game...after losing 7 straight.

It doesn't get much better than this.

Unless...it's..."Hump Day"!

And so it was with our beloved Atlanta Hawks.  They lived for 6 games against the Indianapolis Pacers.  And the 7th game...they died.

For with these Hawks...they lived with the 3 pointers...and subsequently ...died as a result of the 3's missing their mark.
