Maybe.......Just.....Maybe...
My my......seems the Atlanta Braves.......read our blog.
They actually ......are putting together a strong ......final push....to get into the play-offs:
From Yahoo Sports:
ATLANTA (AP)—The Braves moved closer to their first playoff berth since 2005, beating the Florida Marlins 5-1 Wednesday to complete a three-game sweep behind Derek Lowe’s(notes) fifth win of September and Brooks Conrad’s(notes) three-run homer.
Atlanta (90-69) reached 90 wins for the 15th time in 25 years under the 69-year-old Cox, who is retiring after the season. The Braves won 14 straight division titles under Cox but have missed out on the playoffs for four straight seasons.
Atlanta closes at home against NL East champion Philadelphia with a three-game series starting Friday night.
Pitching on three days’ rest, Lowe (16-12) gave up one run and seven hits in 5 2-3 innings and struck out nine. He is 5-0 with a 1.17 ERA this month with 29 strikeouts and three walks in 30 2-3 innings, and his 16 wins matched Tim Hudson(notes) for the team high.
Conrad, a 30-year-old rookie, homered in the third off Andrew Miller(notes) (1-5). Conrad made his second straight start after Martin Prado(notes) sustained a torn oblique muscle and a bruised hip Monday. Prado, an All-Star with a .307 batting average, will miss the playoffs if the Braves advance.
Conrad, usually a pinch-hitter and defensive substitute, has eight homers— all before Wednesday were from the seventh inning on.
David Ross(notes), starting because catcher Brian McCann(notes) was rested, had three doubles and an RBI.
Miller gave up four run, four hits and four walks in three innings as the Marlins lost their fourth straight. He has allowed four or more runs in five straight starts, going 0-5 with a 12.74 ERA in that span.
Atlanta, bouncing back from a 4-5 trip, went ahead 4-0 in the third when Matt Diaz(notes) and Derrek Lee(notes) walked, Ross doubled to left and Conrad homered into the left-field seats.

You recruited these type guys.....now this:
From the Red & Black:
Freshman football player kicked off team after DUI arrest
Filed under Crime & Courts, Football, News, Sanford Knows Best, Sports
Linebacker Demetre Baker was kicked off the team following an arrest early Sunday.
“Demetre has been dismissed from the football team,” head coach Mark Richt said.
Baker, 19, was booked by the Athens-Clarke County Police at 4:26 a.m. Sunday and charged with DUI, underage possession and improper driving, according to police records.
He was released at 11 a.m. on $2,500 bond.
Baker, a freshman, is the 10th Georgia football player arrested and fourth dismissed from the team in the past year.
Previous dismissals include quarterback Zach Mettenberger, linebacker Montez Robinson and punter Trent Dittmer.
“We have had enough issues off the field that it’s been a big distraction and sad for our young men and for our program and the University and everybody else,” Richt said.
Referencing the severity of the punishment, Richt said Baker “was fully aware of the possible consequences that resulted from this kind of decision.”
The arrest came just hours after the Bulldogs suffered a 24-12 loss to Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., for the first time since 1974.
Baker did not accompany the team for the game according to the team’s dress-out roster.
Baker, a native of Orange Park, Fla., had not played in a game for the Bulldogs this season and was expected to redshirt.
Richt said he had not yet addressed the team and that they would meet today as scheduled.

Why ....Georgia.....is just .....Average
There is a lot of speculation.....regarding the University of Georgia's football woes.
Coaching......Talent....or lack of.......
And then it struck me......when I saw ......this photo:
Nothing against.....white people.....but......this is the face of Georgia....and it's hopes. A white......wide receiver......their leading receiver.
And then it hit me. This......is Georgia. The "good old boys". Still living in the 50's and 60's ......a "lily white" .....Georgia.
So they lost ....A. J. Green.........you mean to tell me.......your next best.....is a white boy?
In the so called "skilled" positions.....Alabama, Florida and LSU......recruit......"brothers"....
Black athletes.........who can run.....Their depth charts are 2 to 3 deep......"brothers". Georgia chooses to put their trusts.......in .......the "lily white"......
Do you actually think.......this Durham guy.......would even make the team on Florida? Or ...Alabama?
But ......the powers that be.......for years.......and years........have vacated spots for these Durham type guys......
And for Florida.....and LSU......and Alabama........there have been multiple national championships.
For Georgia? Mediocrity.........
Just....Average.
In a state that produces more NFL players......than any outside Florida, California and Texas........
We now know why Georgia......will always......be average.....at best.
The truth hurts.
