At Least.......A Dog won the Darn Thing....

The outlook wasn't brilliant .......for the Georgia nine that day....

The score stood six to one....with but one inning left to play.....

And when the "Dawgs' went........ one......... two........... three..........

Fresno State.....chuckled....."hee hee hee".......


And there was no joy in Mudville..........much less the "Bulldog Nation".


Georgia had lost........Fresno State had won. It happens..........There must be a winner.....there must be a loser. If there is a high...........then........inevitably there will be a low.

This Georgia team came from nowhere..........Fresno State, came from even further..........

This was Fresno State's first national championship......in any sport ........ever.......Georgia has 40 something.

As much as it is ........to get to the championship series..........and lose..........Georgia, hold your head up. There are several hundred schools who never got to Omaha........

And .........Georgia........remember this.......at least .......a........dog..........won in the end.......
