Nicki Minaj? We Just Had to See!

This is ...just a little ...off Sports.

But....This Nicki Minaj ...has gained our attention.  For she is  a black female....in an industry run by both black and white males.

She is different.   She has set herself apart.   From what?

We have no idea.

But....A lot of people seem to think....she has crossed the line.

O. J. Looking a bit Old....and Rough!

If it wasn't for the fact that Orenthal James Simpson....brutally murdered two people...and got away with it....we might throw a little sympathy his way.

Here's a man that was too stupid to stay out of jail.   After the murders,  he was still a free man.   Then he gets jail time for armed robbery...stealing back some of his memorabilia.

Is a Heisman Trophy worth nine to 33 years?

That karma thing is something else.  God don't like ugly.

Top 10 Christmas Movies

From About.com.........Courtesy of Rebecca Murray.

My favorite is ....A Christmas Story.   What's yours?

1. 'Love Actually'

Love Actually© Universal Pictures
One of the best written romantic comedies in decades happens to have a Christmas theme. Eight storylines collide in this touching, funny, and highly entertaining look at love, lust, loss, and relationships. Starring Hugh Grant as the British Prime Minister, Keira Knightley as a new bride, Liam Neeson as a newly widowed father, and Bill Nighy as an aging rock star, Love Actually has a lot of heart and a lot of engaging characters to get into.

2. 'A Christmas Story'

A Christmas Story© Warner Home Video
"You'll poke your eye out!" Anyone who's hoped and wished and dreamed of that one gift, that one item so special nothing else will do, will absolutely adore A Christmas Story. Ralphie (Peter Billingsley, director of Couples Retreat) wants a Red Ryder BB gun, but his parents keep telling him it's too dangerous. But that doesn't stop Ralphie from driving his poor parents crazy by actively campaigning for the gun.

3. 'Elf'

Elf© New Line Cinema
6'3" Will Ferrell is raised by Santa and thinks he's an elf in this hilarious comedy directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man). After getting kicked out of the North Pole because he's too ungainly to handle elf duties, Buddy sets out to find his real father. But once he meets his biological dad, things don't go smoothly. Being raised by Santa creates a lot of problems in a real world where most people don't believe in the jolly old elf.

4. 'Scrooged'

Scrooged© Paramount
Bill Murray hates Christmas and everything associated with the holiday in this modern retelling of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Childhood memories combined with a failed relationship with the love of his life have made this TV producer an unpleasant fellow to be around during the holiday season. But when he's visited by three ghosts, he has a dramatic change of heart.

5. 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation© Warner Home Video
This is my personal favorite film of all the National Lampoon Griswold family adventures. When the squirrel comes flying out of the Christmas tree, it never fails to send me into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. All Clark wants is for this family (even those members he didn't invite) to have a great holiday, but just about everything that could go wrong, does go wrong.

6. 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'

A Nightmare Before Christmas© Walt Disney Pictures
Like your holiday films a little twisted? Are you into Tim Burton? How about musicals with bite? If you answered yes, then the stop-motion A Nightmare Before Christmas should be right up your alley. Jack Skellington is supposed to be all about Halloween, but he finds himself fascinated with Christmas and wants to take over that holiday by kidnapping Santa.

7. 'Home Alone'

Home Alone© 20th Century Fox
The first film of the series (there have been four all together, and a video game) is still the best, and still deserves a viewing during the winter holidays. Written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Rent), Home Alone introduced us to the dysfunctional McCallister family and their youngest son, Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin who will forever be remembered for his surprised pose on the film's poster. Kevin's left home (hence the title) at Christmas and after the initial joy of being away from this family wear off, he realizes that even if they get on his nerves, he really does love them all.

8. 'Bad Santa'

Bad Santa© Dimension Films
Billy Bob Thornton is a bad, bad Santa. He smokes, he drinks, he hits on women, and he has really, really bad hygiene. As far as we know, none of these traits apply to the real Santa... Thornton plays Willie, a seasonal Santa hired on to work in a shopping mall along with his associate, Marcus (Tony Cox). Marcus may fit the physical characteristics of an elf, but he's just as R-rated as Willie. But Willie has a change of heart when he meets a beautiful bartender and a troubled kid who truly believes in him.

9. 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'

The Muppet Christmas Carol© Walt Disney Home Entertaiment
Who can resist The Muppets even when it's not Christmas? All of the familiar puppets, including Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear, help bring Dickens' A Christmas Carol to life in this G-rated family friendly 1992 film.

10. 'Gremlins'

Gremlins© Warner Home Video
I'm guessing the first film that pops into your head when you think of Christmas movies isn't Gremlins, but the 1984 horror comedy from writer Chris Columbus and director Joe Dante actually is Christmas-themed. And quick, don't think about it, what are the rules for raising a gremlin? 1) Don't let them near water, 2) no bright lights, and 3) do not under any circumstances feed them after midnight!

Oh Bobby...Really?

Question:  Why does Bobby Brown seem to always find himself on the wrong side of the law?

Answer:  Because he is....Bobby Brown.

It is ...what it is:

From TMZ.com:

Bobby Brown
Arrested for DUI ... Again

EXCLUSIVE
1024_bobby_brown_dui_artucle
Bobby Brown
was just arrested for DUI ... for the second time this year, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us, Brown was pulled over around 1AM when police observed the singer driving erratically on an L.A. street.

According to law enforcement sources, officers approached Brown's vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcohol -- at which point they asked Brown to get out of his car.

We're told Brown performed a field sobriety test, but didn't do very well -- so he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He's currently being booked.

Brown was previously arrested for DUI in March and sought treatment for alcohol abuse issues over the summer. He also has a DUI conviction on his record from 1996.

R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan

Our prays are with his family....

Michael Clarke Duncan
Dead at 54

Exclusive Details
0903_Michael-Clarke-Duncan_gettyMichael Clarke Duncan, star of such movies as "The Green Mile" and "The Whole Nine Yards," passed away this morning. He was 54.

According to our sources, his passing came very suddenly. We're told his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault, was with him in his hospital room in Los Angeles and left for a short period of time. When she returned ... he had died.

Our sources say Omarosa's mother was with him when he passed.

Duncan's rep tells TMZ the actor never fully recovered from the myocardial infarction he suffered on July 13. As TMZ first reported, Omarosa found Duncan in cardiac arrest and performed CPR and was able to resuscitate him before calling 911.

The rep tells us, "[Omarosa] Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date."

Duncan was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of John Coffey in "The Green Mile." He worked as a bodyguard for celebrities like Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G. before he got his break.

"These are the Breaks".....Halle Berry Style

On occasion......we like to step outside the sports world.

This is one of those occasions.....

Our beloved Halle Berry broke a foot..... And TMZ.com....of course...

 Was there!

Halle Berry
Breaks Foot In Spain

0921_halle_injury_launch_V2
TMZ has learned ... Halle Berry broke her foot in Spain this morning, and it's creating problems for the movie she's shooting.

Sources tell TMZ ... Halle was on the property where she's staying and simply took a misstep.  She heard a crack and then felt the pain.  Halle went to the hospital, where doctors put her foot in a cast. She was taken out of the hospital in a wheelchair.

As for the movie she's currently shooting -- "Cloud Atlas" -- sources say the immediate plan is to shoot around her.  We're told that will be a combination of things -- shooting her from the waist up, using a stunt double, and shooting scenes for the next week or two in which Halle does not appear.

The plain in Spain creates intense pain.  We just had to.

Another ..."Washed up Actress"....Seeking....Publicity

We've seen this before......Washed up actress.....trying for face time.

Daryl Hannah....is not .....has not .....and will never be confused with the likes of   Meryl Street,  Katharine Hepburn,  or Bette Davis.

She is .....b line .....at best.

Yet she fines her way into the news.....

And of course......TMZ.com.....finds her:

Daryl Hannah
ARRESTED at the White House

0830_darryl_hannah_bn

Daryl Hannah donned a familiar accessory outside the White House today -- HANDCUFFS -- after she was arrested during an oil pipeline protest.

The actress-turned-activist was busted with several other protesters -- when they sat on the sidewalk in front of the White House and ignored three requests by police to move.

Daryl's an old pro when it comes to getting arrested  -- saying, " Sometimes it's necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom. And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future."

Hannah was famously arrested after she stopped traffic in West Virginia in 2009 -- blocking a busy street during a protest over mining practices.
