With Michael Vick deciding to go under the radar these days -- it seems the Atlanta-Journal Constitution has a new "whipping boy". For the second straight day, the AJC has seen to it that T.I. has graced their front pages.......much to the chagrin of loyal T.I. fans in the ATL and nationwide. Within 4 hours of the scheduled BET Hip-hop awards, T.I. , was arrested on federal felony weapons charges. T.I. (real name Clifford Harris, Jr.) was nabbed during a sting operation Saturday in Atlanta. Seems T.I. was attempting to purchase firearms via his bodyguard.......Not that earth shattering in light of a May 2006 shootout in which his childhood friend Plilant Johnson was killed. But, being a convicted felon, T.I. was prohibited -- by law -- to own a weapon. Which brings us back to the bodyguard. The bodyguard gets busted for trying to buy a machine gun without registering it....then.......when caught.....rolls over on T.I. ......telling the feds he has purchased about 25 guns over the past 18 months for T.I. Now........the sting..... The bodyguard ---- cooperating with the feds, calls T.I. , to set up a buy........Boom ......Feds move in .....make the arrest.........And T.I. is still held at this hour --- without bail. Just another case of a young black man getting rolled by his home boys.......Sound familiar.........Mike Vick? I will never understand why celebrities who claim to have struggled all their life to rise from the rags to riches, choose to pretend that they still live in the ghetto. Put it behind you and GROW UP! What did he think he was going to do with those machine guns anyway? Obviously he has watched Scarface too many times.
