WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has been re-elected to a second term, defeating Republican Mitt Romney in a hard-fought race in which the economy was the dominant issue.

Interesting to say the least,  considering they were without their best player, Josh Smith.

In Memory of Pascual "Perimeter" Perez

This is so sad.... If you were an Atlanta Braves fan back in the '80's...You remember Pascual .

He was that pitcher who missed a game because he got lost on I-285....which circles Atlanta.  And he went round and round.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

in Home Invasion Robbery

Breaking News

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Pascual Perez was stabbed to death in a home invasion robbery in the Dominican Republic ... this according to multiple local reports.

Perez -- who pitched in the Majors for 11 years -- was reportedly stabbed in the neck during the incident. There is speculation Perez was killed for his MLB pension payment he received before the murder.

Perez played for a slew of MLB teams -- including the Pirates, Braves, Expos and Yankees. He made the All-Star squad back in 1983 -- the same year he had a 3.43 ERA.

Pascual got the nickname "Perimeter Perez" when he got lost on the I-285 while driving himself to a Braves game back in 1982 on a day he was scheduled to start.

So far, it's unclear if anyone has been arrested in connection to the murder.

Perez was 55.

The last such game Wazzu won was in 2006.

The 63 points Auburn allowed were the third-most it has given up in a single game in the history of the program.

William Gholston and Max Bullough combined for eight TFL as Wisconsin was held to 190 total yards.	21. The Spartans ended the Badgers' 21-game home winning streak, which was second only to LSU.

It took almost 3 quarters of a season...This Georgia defense...with supposedly  all that NFL talent....to finally play the way they will someday be paid to play.

No softies here.  Georgia manned up against these Gators and forced their will.   6 turnovers.  Hard, hard hits.   No touchdowns allowed. 

Well......welcome to the party,  men.

It had been speculated by more than a few people....Maybe these future NFL stars of Georgia were "saving" themselves by playing safe....soft....so as not to get hurt before getting that Sunday playing contract. 

But ....at least for one Saturday....they played the way their talent should have played.

Wasn't pretty...but...a win...is a win.

Giants players celebrated after winning Game 3 against Tigers in Detroit on Saturday.

The Giants, who now have an authoritative three-games-to-none lead, have won six straight games in the postseason and have not trailed a single inning in those games.
